Work Study
Are you a currently enrolled DiversNote Mobility learner who is interested in being employed while you are in your accelerated program?
Work Study is a program where learners receive a part-time work-study position at DiverseNote Mobility and are paid while they are in their program. Work study positions are no more than 20 hours per week. A description of work-study positions is below along with a form that enrolled learners can complete to request a work-study job interview. There are multiple openings for each job title.

Office Assistant
As an Office assistant, your responsibilities will include copier/mail requests, updating department signage, distributing flyers across central campus, inventory/restock, and occasional front desk coverage. Other duties include event support and projects as assigned.
Student Services Assistants
Assist new and continuing students with questions about DiverseNote Mobility programs and resources. Student Services Assistants also assist in department events, such as student panels and major fairs, and meet with prospective student families.
Student Services Assistants will be expected to:

Answer student questions via email, in-person, and virtual settings

Assist students with questions about the registration process

Offer advice based on personal experiences with your academic program

Participate in events as needed throughout the academic year, representing orientation events, majors fairs, etc. as assigned

Maintain a welcoming presence to ensure students and other visitors encounter a comfortable environment while waiting for appointments or assistance
Audio Visual Aide
Audio Visual Aides record classroom sessions as well as post-processing and editing recordings for posting. Students should have experience operating and editing audio-visual equipment.
Event Program Staff
Event program staff are liaisons between all departments and guests that utilize DiverseNote Mobility facilities and makes sure needs are being met in the areas of building management such as custodial services, maintenance issues, event setup, safety and security, and beyond.
Students in the Event Program Staff position are expected to:
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Deliver exemplary customer service to all guests of DiverseNote Mobility through a variety of forms of interaction
- Cultivate an accessible, safe, and inclusive environment for all students, visitors, and guests within DiverseNote Mobility facilities, services, and programs
More specifically, the Event Program Staff work as a team to prepare event spaces for use by contracted clients and are responsible for:
- Completing all daily event setups, technical requirements, furniture, equipment, etc.
- Assisting with daily event management including unlocking meeting rooms, instructing proper equipment use, and maintaining awareness of daily event schedules.
- Inspecting all equipment for proper functioning before setting up in a meeting room and communicating any damage to the Manager on Duty
- Maintaining orderly appearance in all storage areas and conducting regular inventory of setup equipment.
- Ensuring the safety and security of the facility, furnishings, equipment, guests, and employees.
Event Assistant
Tutor 1
Tutors will assist students in improving academic achievement in GED and ESL programs. Tutors meet with them on a walk-in basis or by appointment to clarify learning problems and work on study skills. Other assistance might include: reviewing class material, discussing the text, or working on the process of solving problems. Tutoring is a supplement to classroom teaching. Tutors are not expected to teach the class material.
Tutors must have a high school diploma or GED and have received the credential for the course they will be tutoring at DiverseNote Mobility.
